Fallout: New Vegas releasing this fall; new trailer revealed
- February 04, 2010 07:40 AM PST
The next full-fledged Fallout game, Fallout: New Vegas, has received a fall 2010 release window as well as a brand-new teaser trailer highlighting the new post-apocalyptic locale.
Earlier today, Bethesda Softworks revealed a fall 2010 release and a teaser trailer (shown above) for its next Fallout title to receive a retail release--Fallout: New Vegas, which will come out on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Additionally, Bethesda opened the game's official message board on the company's website.
While the game is not being regarded as a true Fallout sequel, Fallout: New Vegas is being released as a full retail release, which means it should have an all-new story and even more content than the meaty expansion packs released for Fallout 3. The game is being developed by Obsidian Entertainment, a team that spawned from the company that created the first two Fallout games and that has spent its time since then crafting games like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II and Alpha Protocol.
The official Fallout website promises new information to be revealed in the coming weeks and months. Expect GamePro to bring you that information as we find it.

I can wait for this game however I may wait for the GOTY Edition. But then again that maybe hard for me to do because of how f-en cool Fallout 3 is/was.

So it's got Bethesda's name on it... but not really developped by them? Either way, looks pretty cool. I'll definitely keep an eye on this one. I've got 100% trophies on Fallout 3, along with all DLCs. One of my favorite games ever :)

this is definitely going to be a very different game than fallout 3. Probably more urban environments.

Without a doubt Fallout New Vegas is going to bring a completely different gaming experience for Fallout fans. I'm really interested to see how they were able to merge the new story with, hopefully, the old Fallout gameplay. I am definentaly buying New Vegas... it's just a shame I can't reserve it now.
