The Sims 3 Features

  • Older and Wiser: How The Sims Has Evolved
  • EA's popular life-simulating video game franchise, The Sims, turns 10 this week. Over the past decade, The Sims experience has undergone a lot of changes, and not just in gameplay enhancements. From the way the series deals with death and sex to the way it handles Chinese culture, GamePro's Sims-expert AJ Glasser talks us through 10 ways The Sims has evolved in 10 years.
  • A Sims 3 hands-on preview ("We have to move past peeing," says EA)
  • Monday I was able to go down to the Redwood EA offices to get my first hands-on demo of the new Sims 3 game. There was so much to see and so much to do in the game that it made my head spin - but in a good way. The jump from the first Sims game to Sims 2 was not as big or as jaw-dropping as the jump from Sims 2 to Sims 3. What I saw at EA made me even more excited for its June release date.
  • Delays - Sims 3 and Godfather 2
  • Both the EA games the Sims 3 and Godfather 2 had significant delays announced today. The Sims 3 was originally slated for February 20th but that has been changed to a June 2nd release date. The Godfather 2 was scheduled for later this month as well, but has now been given a release time frame of between April and June of this year.
